December has already arrived, with only the last page of the calendar left! The air is chilly day and night, a clear sign that winter is just around the corner. Despite the year-end mood that has already settled over our daily lives, the MICE scene is still filled with the excitement that has carried through the year. During November, various global networking events were held both at home and abroad. Gyeonggi-do took part in events both large and small, at home and abroad, highlighting its expanding scope of activities. The Korea MICE Awards & Conference, held in Cheongju, provided an opportunity to reflect on the year’s achievements and discuss new industry trends. At the ICCA Congress, held in Porto, Portugal, Gyeonggi-do engaged with MICE officials from around the world, clearly reaffirming its presence on the global stage. At IBTM World 2025, a subsequent global fair held in Barcelona, Spain, Gyeonggi-do enjoyed a valuable opportunity to showcase its MICE infrastructure and strengths while directly engaging with foreign buyers.

As a result, Gyeonggi-do wrapped up a memorable November by strengthening its expertise at home while expanding its presence on the global stage. From November 25 to 26, the 2025 Korea MICE Awards & Conference took place at Cheongju OSCO. At the event, domestic MICE representatives gathered to share the year’s achievements and discuss future strategies. Awards were presented in a total of nine categories, including the Minister's Prize and the CEO’s Prize. In addition, insightful lectures and sessions, such as “How MICE is Changing in the AI Era” and “How to Utilize Unique Venues,” attracted a lot of attention. The 2025 ICCA Congress offered programs through five tracks under the concept of “Purposeful Exploration and Bold Innovation.” The Gyeonggi-do delegation engaged with the ICCA Asia-Pacific Regional Office and other international academic societies and associations, gaining a valuable opportunity to attract future international meetings and expand its cooperative foundation.
