[🧀GMICE News ①]: On-Site Evaluation of the Gyeonggi Region-Specific MICE Discovery and Development Project

Do you remember the news about the 2025 Gyeonggi Region-Specific MICE Development Project that we shared in the very first issue of the GMICE Newsletter back in June? A total of four events selected through the competition underwent pre-site consulting, and in September, the second stage of consulting—an on-site evaluation by MICE experts—was carried out.

This consulting went beyond simple evaluation, providing a forum to address on-site challenges together with event organizers and explore development directions for region-specific programs through communication.

These events are divided into Incubation and Growth stages, receiving consulting tailored to their stage of growth. By combining them with local specialized industries and regional culture, they are expected to evolve into unique and sustainable MICE models.

This consulting is not just a simple evaluation. From before the event through its completion, expert groups work together to identify challenges, conduct on-site reviews, and propose development directions as part of a comprehensive support system.

🛠 Promotion of Three-Stage MICE Expert Consulting Covering Pre-Site, On-Site, and Post-Site

✅ Stage 1: Pre-Site Consulting

Before the event, consulting was provided in areas such as planning and operations for the 2025 event, based on the event’s operation plan.

✅ Stage 2: On-Site Consulting

During the event, the consulting team visited the site directly to conduct inspections, reviewed how the pre-site consulting had been reflected, and collaborated with organizers through real-time feedback while checking overall event operations.

✅ Stage 3: Post-Site Consulting

After the event concluded, discussions and consulting were held on improvements identified during the process and on directions for further development.

After the on-site evaluation is completed, the final stage of post-site consulting will follow.

In this post-site consulting, based on the results of the on-site evaluation, development directions for growing into region-specific MICE events will be reviewed once again, and it will serve as a venue for experts, local governments, and event organizers to share their opinions together.

The process from on-site evaluation to post-site consulting goes beyond simple assessment, demonstrating a MICE strategy that grows together with the region. The GMICE Newsletter will continue to closely document this journey!
